Phil was elected to his first term in November 2006 and currently serves as Vice-Chairman of the Board. He has also served on the Red Cross Board - Galion Chapter.

Phil resides at 177 S. Horning Road with his wife Jenny. They have three boys: Drew, Noah, and Sam.

Trustee Jackson is a Lieutenant FF/Paramedic at the Galion Fire Department. There, he also functions as a Fire/EMS instructor, State Fire Inspector, and Fire Investigator as well. He is also a J.V. Baseball Coach at Ontario Schools.

Phil received his Paramedic Certification from Tri-Rivers Career Center and his Professional Firefighter Certification from the Ohio Fire Academy. He has also attended the National Fire Academy. Phil received his B.A. in Organizational Management with a concentration in Public Safety Administration from Ashford University.

Phil Served in the United States Army as a Medic during Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm.

He lists woodworking and golf as hobbies and is an avid outdoorsman.
