Penfield Township ZoningZONING REGULATION DOWNLOADS:
BUILDING PERMITS - Penfield is a member of the Lorain County Building District. Contractor registration and building permits are required for new houses, additions, and conversion of buildings to residential use. Permits are required for new homes, additions, accessory buildings, sheds on skids greater than 10’X12’, ponds, outdoor signs, fences, garages and pools with a water depth capacity of 2 feet or greater and a length, width or diameter of twelve feet. Conditional use permits are required for Home Occupations, Bed & Breakfast, and Wireless Communication Facilities. Contact the Zoning Inspector, Richard Donahue at 440-355-4581 with any questions or problems regarding zoning. Zoning books with maps are available for $15.00. ZONING & APPEALS - Meetings are held quarterly on the 4th Wednesday of January, April, July, and October. Otherwise, meetings are scheduled as needed and posted on the Town Hall bulletin board.
