Castle Metals 1
The City of Fairfield has been working with the buildings owners to improve this facility. As of June 2006, the white office building had been demolished.

New Goodwill Store
A new Goodwill store is going in to part of a vacant site that was a former Thriftway grocery store.
Strip Mall 1
Route 4 is often characterized by its numerous strip malls, which range in size and age.
Strip Mall 2
New Dialysis Center
Efforts are underway to renovate a former nightclub into a dialysis center.
Available Parcels
A few select parcels of vacant land are still available for purchase on Route 4
Streetscaping
The city has made an effort in recent years to beautify Route 4 through streetscaping with lights and plants.
