The Center for Public Management and Regional Affairs has assisted communities with creating or updating their community reinvestment area (CRA) programs.

Under Ohio law, CRA programs may provide real property tax abatements to qualified residential, commercial and industrial new construction and remodeling projects. By using the Ohio Revised Code provisions as a framework, each community defines what types of projects are eligible for a potential exemption.
